LearnBetter, Inc. ("LearnBetter", "we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and services. Please read this policy carefully.

• Usage data (features used, sessions, learning progress)

• Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we never store card numbers)

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide and improve our services, personalise your learning experience, send product updates and educational content (you can opt out at any time), process payments, and comply with legal obligations.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with trusted service providers (such as Stripe for payments, and cloud infrastructure providers) strictly to operate our services. We will disclose data if required by law.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time from Account Settings.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights including: access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion of your data, portability of your data, and the right to object to processing. To exercise any right, contact us at privacy@learnbetter.ai.

Browser Extension

The Learn Better browser extension lets you send web pages to your Learn Better library. It collects only what you actively provide or explicitly choose to send:

• Sign-in details. Your email and password — or a Google sign-in token if you use "Continue with Google" — are sent to Learn Better to authenticate you. The extension does not store your password; it keeps only the resulting session token.
• Pages you choose to send. When you click "Send to Learn Better", the extension sends that page's URL, title, and (for full-page captures) its readable text, so we can generate your summary, key concepts, and quiz. This happens only on your explicit action, for the page you are actively viewing.

The extension does not collect your browsing history, does not read or send pages you have not explicitly submitted, does not track you across sites, and contains no advertising or analytics trackers. Your session token and email are stored locally on your device (chrome.storage.local) so you stay signed in, and are removed when you sign out.

Its permissions are scoped to that purpose: activeTab and scripting to read a page only at the moment you send it, storage to keep you signed in, identity to support Google sign-in, and host access limited to the Learn Better backend. We do not sell or share extension data with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising.
